About Wendler 5/3/1 log
Wendler 5/3/1 log transforms your strength training by eliminating the need to manually calculate workouts on paper at the gym. This app automates program generation, set calculations, and progress tracking for the popular Wendler 5/3/1 powerlifting methodology.
The app calculates your one-rep max based on your current lifts and generates a complete workout cycle with sets, reps, and weights tailored to your strength levels. You can adjust training max percentages, choose between 2, 3, or 4-day split templates, and configure the number of cycles you want to run. Warm-up sets and Boring But Big assistance work are included automatically, saving you time in program design.
Logging your workouts is straightforward. The built-in rest timer helps you maintain consistent pacing between sets, and the plates calculator shows exactly which plates to load for each exercise. A dedicated cycles overview displays your estimated and achieved one-rep max progress, giving you clear visibility into how your lifts are improving across training blocks.
You can build your assistance exercise routine from 16 predefined options or add your own custom movements to match your training preferences. The app exports your data to CSV format via email or Google Drive, making it easy to back up your training history or analyze trends over time.
The trial version lets you work through one complete Wendler cycle free, giving you full access to the core features: IRM calculation, configurable cycles and weekly order, warm-up sets, Boring But Big templates, and the plates calculator.
Upgrade to unlock advanced logging options including Joker sets, alternative main lift variations for Boring But Big, First Set Last (AMRAP and custom), the 13-week challenge, and the ability to edit completed workouts. The Pro version adds 3/5/1 and 8/6/3 rep scheme options, configurable warm-up percentages and reps, separate timer values for each lift category, and support for subtracting collar weight from your totals.
Wendler 5/3/1 log is built for lifters who want structured programming without the paperwork. Whether you're preparing for competition or simply tracking strength gains, this app keeps your training organized and your numbers accurate. Please note: this app is not affiliated with Jim Wendler. For the complete methodology and philosophy behind 5/3/1, consider purchasing the original program materials.
